Factory Maintenance Electrician

£36,000 - £45,000 per annum

A well-respected and established engineering & industrial processing business based near Dudley in the West Midlands, is currently looking for a Multi-skilled Electrically biased Engineer to join their Maintenance team on a permanent basis.
Maintenance Electrician duties will include:
- Undertaking preventative and reactive electrical maintenance tasks on a variety of industrial machinery and plant within a modern factory environment
- Carrying out electrical installations as required
- Complete fault-finding work for PLCs using diagrams
- Carry out fault finding and repair work on 110v, 240v, 415v, 24v AC & DC systems
- Testing emergency lighting & alarm systems
- Carrying out LED bay lighting upgrades where required
- Assisting in building electrical control panels
- Undertaking mechanical maintenance & installation work alongside your Mechanically-biased teammate
- Completing shift paperwork and reports as required
Experience & Qualifications required include:
- Previous experience of electrical maintenance work in an industrial environment is essential
- Apprentice-trained or possession of IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification would be an advantage
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar would be an advantage
- Basic knowledge of DC drives and inverters is preferred
- Good attention to detail
- Flexible with hours and shifts, including the occasional Saturday shift
Pay & Working Hours Details:
Expected annual earnings of £36,000 - £50,000 per annum (including overtime)
Hourly Pay Rates are set as follows:
- £15.93 per hour (standard midweek rate)
- £19.11 per hour (overtime midweek rate)
- £23.89 per hour (Saturday overtime rate)
- £31.86 per hour (Sunday & overtime & Bank Holiday rate)
Working hours (based on 40 hours per week) are currently set at:
- Week 1: 6.00am – 2.00pm (Monday to Friday) + Saturday Overtime
- Week 2: 8.00pm – 6.00am (Monday to Thursday)
- Week 3: 1.00pm – 9.00pm (Monday to Thursday) + 10.00am – 6.00pm (Fridays)
