The Role:

As the Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for the leadership, operational oversight, and regulatory compliance of a children’s residential home. You will play a vital role in ensuring the home offers a safe, nurturing, and structured environment in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

You will:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a skilled care team.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and reviews.
• Liaise with Local Authorities, schools, and health professionals to ensure best outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, and health and safety standards.
• Maintain robust policies, procedures, and staff development plans.
• Drive continuous improvement across care, education, and operational areas.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s home.
• Strong working knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Care Standards, and safeguarding procedures.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• A valid UK driving licence.
• Experience with children displaying BESD (Behavioural, Emotional & Social Difficulties) and knowledge of therapeutic care models is highly desirable.
