Practice Nurse – Full-Time or Part-Time – Flexible Working Available

We are recruiting for a Practice Nurse on behalf of a well-established GP surgery, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and professional team. With flexibility for full-time or part-time hours, this role provides the chance to work in a practice committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Role Details:

• Contract: Full-time or part-time considered
• Salary: £20 - £24 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Hours: 08:00 – 18:30 (flexible start and finish times)
• Future Expansion: Surgery plans to extend to 07:00 – 20:00 with a three-session day, where clinicians will cover two extended sessions per week
• Start Date: ASAP (notice periods considered)

Key Responsibilities:

• Chronic Disease Management: COPD (including spirometry interpretation – training provided), Asthma, and ideally Diabetes
• Treatment Room Duties: Wound care, immunisations, cervical smears, and general nursing support

The Practice:

• Patient List: 8,300 patients, with plans to grow to 12,300
• Team Structure:
  • 3 GP Partners
  • 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
  • 3 Practice Nurses + Head of Nursing
  • 2 Healthcare Assistants (HCAs)
• Technology: EMIS Web clinical system
• Demographics: A high-needs, deprived patient population, providing a rewarding challenge for a compassionate and skilled nurse
• Parking: On-site parking available for staff
• CQC Feedback: Recent inspection praised the practice for its fantastic team ethos and patient care
