Responsibilities for Band-5 Registered Nurse and Community Nurse Roles:

• Assessing, observing, and speaking to patients
• Recording patient medical history and current health details
• Preparing patients for exams and treatment
• Administering medications and monitoring for side effects
• Creating, implementing, and evaluating care plans with the medical team
• Performing wound care (e.g., cleaning and bandaging)
• Assisting in medical procedures as needed
• Operating and monitoring medical equipment
• Collecting samples (e.g., blood, urine) for lab work
• Educating patients and families on treatment plans and healthy habits
• Supervising licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students
• Providing care and support to patients in community settings
