A modern community vet practice with dozens of 5  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews is hiring for growth.  A practice that has been serving the community of Nanango for over 38 years.

With such a diverse animal community surrounding Nanango, their patients range from cats, dogs, and birds, to beautiful horses and sturdy farm animals (cows, sheep, alpacas, goats and pigs), plus the odd reptile to keep everybody on their toes.

Ideally, you will be two years qualified but what is most important is an emphatic vet, a real team player who wants to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in from the start. 

You can expect a good mix of consults, medical workups, and surgeries.  No two days are the same in the practice or out and about visiting patients.

This practice has a real ‘family feel,’ about it where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time.  There are plenty of social events throughout the year and without the shackles of a large vet group, decisions can be made quickly and ideas are freely encouraged. 

This is a full-time role working 38 hours a week over 4.5 days with a Sat morning  1:2. 8.30am – 11am.

Starting from $80k –  $100k with 4 weeks annual leave. Standard vet fees are paid and you will have the use of a car. They have a comprehensive CPD allowance and are interested in improving their team and investing in them. Because it’s mutually beneficial. Accommodation can be provided on arrival for a couple of months if required.

Nanango is a vibrant place steeped in heritage while still retaining its tranquil rural charm.  There is plenty to do with wineries, 4x4 tracks, walks, fishing, sailing, camping, a gym, and a cinema plus a few Aussie bars and restaurants to visit and relax.  

With the stunning Bunya Mountains close by, Brisbane, and the Sunshine Coast only a couple of hours away what’s not to like?
