We are currently working with a global healthcare organisation within Stoma who are seeking an enthusiastic Stoma Care Nurse to join their dynamic team based in Leicester. The hours for the role are 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8am–4pm or 9am-5pm (with half an hour for lunch).

Ideal Requirement for the Stoma Care Nurse

• NMC Registered
• Proven post registration experience within a stoma or colorectal background.
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with colleagues and patients.
• Flexibility in order to meet patient and service needs.
• Have good IT skills, including excel.

Role Responsibilities for the Stoma Care Nurse

• Liaise with appropriate hospital staff to facilitate the provision of high-quality care to all patients who have a stoma.
• To act as the patients’ advocate, through effective support and information enabling them to make informed choices and decisions concerning treatment.
• Be responsible for the maintenance and development of the prescription delivery service.
• To liaise with the community and continuing care teams providing a seamless service between hospital and home.
