Azenta Life Sciences specialises in the design and manufacture of high quality consumables and sealing solutions for molecular biology

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.

What You’ll Do…

• Manage all product quality-related issues raised by customers, identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards
• Monitor and update Quality Dashboard and key performance indicators including Defects Per Units monitoring.
• Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as 8D Problem Solving Methodology, Measurement System Analysis.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams in the push for Corrective Actions to solve customer faced problems whilst guiding teams  to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
• Independently determine approach and assigned tasks

What you will Bring…

• Relevant STEM degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experienced level of 8D Methodology
• Avantagious experience working in Life Science industry, or Plastics/Injection Molding environment
• Hold working knowledge of 5Whys and Fishbone Diagram.
• ·Advanced experience of Excel, including Pivot Tables, Charts such as Pareto’s
• Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
• Planning and prioritizing activities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to present data effectively
• ·Analytical skills

Working Conditions/ Schedule

• Some travel, including international travel may be required.
• Position will be Fully On-site (Wotton)
• Own transport required due to rural location
