Senior Care Assistant –  Preston (Job ref – PK61594)

Our client in Preston is an established Residential Care Home which provides person-centred care for up to 50 residents in a comfortable and supportive environment. They are rated ‘Good’ in their most recent CQC report and a part of a supportive company with a number of homes around the North-West.

The Care Home is well served by multiple bus routes and is only a short, 5 minute walk from the train station. They now have an exciting opportunity for Senior Care Assistants to join their passionate team of Carers and Senior Carers.

Senior Care Assistant pay rates starting at - £13.50 per hour

These are full time, permanent roles working 12 hour shifts; 24, 36 or 48 hours per week depending on your preference. Both Day and Night shifts are available.

Requirements of the Senior Care Assistant role:

  • Senior Care Assistants with previous experience working within care as a Senior
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience of working with the elderly
  • Medication training

Responsibilities of a Senior Care Assistant:

  • Administer medication
  • Work collaboratively within a team of other Care Assistants and Senior Carers
  • Liaise with all visiting professionals including GPs, other healthcare professionals and families.
  • Helping to run the shift, hands on supporting the floor.
