As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and building lasting relationships with our clients in the life science and healthcare sectors. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting our range of calibration and validation solutions and equipment. Leveraging your strong sales acumen and industry knowledge, you will actively seek out and engage potential clients, driving revenue growth through the sale of our instruments and services. The ideal candidate is a results-driven, self-motivated individual with a proven track record of successful sales in a B2B environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Identify and target potential customers through market research, industry events, and networking.
  • Generate leads and build a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends. Using CRM & Salesforce. Plus Collaborate & Execute strategies for prospecting and lead generation. Plus contact potential clients through Cold Calls and emails.

Client Engagement/Customer Service:

  • Initiate and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations.
  • Proficient in tracking, hunting, and capturing opportunities for business growth and success. Conduct effective product presentations and demonstrations to showcase our capabilities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including technical support and customer service, to ensure client satisfaction. And address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

Sales Cycle Management/Product Promotion:

  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to deal closure. As well as develop and present compelling proposals tailored to the unique needs of each prospect.
  • Educate clients on the benefits and features of our calibration and validation solutions & Products.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our offerings. And work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Develop, compile, and present comprehensive sales forecasts, reports, and necessary documentation, while also managing the Pulse Meeting Commercial Dashboard for streamlined insights and effective decision-making.

Negotiation and Closing:

  • Skilfully negotiate contract terms, pricing, and other relevant aspects to secure profitable agreements. And close deals in a timely and efficient manner, meeting, or exceeding sales targets.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  • Provide valuable feedback to the sales and marketing teams to enhance product offerings and positioning.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to inform sales strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Familiarity with various Sales techniques including cold calls
  • Hands-on experience with CRM Software eg Salesforce and Ability to analyze spreadsheets and charts using tools like MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical features and benefits through engaging spreadsheets.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently.

Ideal Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience in a BDR or similar sales role.
