Role Overview:
As a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) in Oxford, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals within the community. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, developing individualized care plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and ongoing support to service users and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitor and review care plans, adjusting as necessary to meet the evolving needs of service users.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with NHS guidelines.
- Participate in case conferences, clinical supervision, and training sessions.
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Band 5/6 CPN or in a similar role.
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in community mental health settings is highly desirable.
