Senior R&D Research Scientist required, based in Oxfordshire. Requiring industrial experience formulating new and existing coatings and materials.

Title: Senior R&D Research Scientist
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Term: Permanent

SRG are currently working with a global and innovative business who have been developing, designing, and manufacturing coatings and materials. The business is now looking for a Senior R&D Research Scientist to join their team based at their Oxford site. This role will be supporting with R&D projects within the clean technology sector. Candidates with a background in formulation chemistry specialising within polymers, coatings and materials. This is an exciting role with a start up focusing on NPD (New Product Development) as well as reformulating existing products.

Benefits: You will join a successful and well-established team as a senior member of staff. Monday - Friday with 25 days holiday + 8 statutory days and pension scheme.

Role Description

• Work with the team to explore new projects in the clean technology sector
• Review literature-based studies to support R&D programs
• Project management to ensure all research is on track
• Meeting with project leaders to ensure timelines are met
• Reporting issues or areas for improvement
• Research to identify new project areas for future R&D programmes

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry/ related
• Extensive experience in the chemical/material industry
• Strong experience within coating/formulation or synthetic chemistry
• Excellent communication skills
