R&D Technician – Household – Cwmbran

Are you looking to progress your way through the ranks as a R&D Technician and develop your formulation skills? This is a great opportunity to join a growing R&D Department with a well-known organisation in South Wales. We will consider graduates or junior lab technicians for the R&D Technician role and have excellent training and development on offer for the successful R&D Technician

Requirements:

• Degree educated in Chemistry or relevant subject
• Self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence at individual and group levels across the business.
• IT skills in Office 365, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of Hair, Skin Care Technology/Science is desirable.
• Knowledge of Aerosols Formulation and Technology is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Complete tasks set with minimal supervision
• Adhere to set objectives and standards.
• Complete Product Development projects with support from R&D wider Team, when needed.
• Support key clients and work with Raw Materials suppliers for all products within company portfolio
• Understanding Global & EU Cosmetic Regulations and Compliance issues
• Maintain accurate records of product development
• Acting as R&D/Formulation & Processing Work Stream Leader for cross-functional Projects,
• Work closely with Sales/Marketing, Production & Engineering, Quality & Occupational Health/Safety teams
• Ensuring all activities are compliant with the relevant quality and HSE standards.
• Working with QA and QC departments with the development of new test methods / test requirements.
• Work Closely with Mixing and Production in the development of IPC’s
