The day to day: 
The Mechanical Service Engineer role involves ensuring the safe and timely delivery of allocated work, reporting completion to company procedures and the satisfaction of the customer and company. Jobs are typically assigned 3-4 weeks in advance. The main responsibilities of the role include attending breakdowns, PPM’s, installing, various company products. You will be working from home, which will include staying away and travelling nationwide, Ireland and Mainland Europe

  • Attend breakdowns and conduct service, installation, and commissioning of products.
  • Ensure safe and timely delivery of work.
  • Working with various pumps, pipes, hydrualics.
  • Panel and product wiring.
  • Reading engineering schematics and drawings.

A successful Mechanical service engineer application will have:

This role would suit an industrial maintenance engineer ideally from a process background, however not essential. My client is looking for experience of working on pipework, hydraulics, pumps, valves.

  • My client will review all applications from Engineers looking to move into a service role or already in a similar role looking for a new challenge
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineer
  • Happy to travel and be flexible where required
  • Ex Navy/REME
  • The ability to read and interpret schematics
  • A strong customer facing ability and problem-solving skills
