The agrochemical industry is worth over $200 billion and is forecasted to surpass $300 billion by 2030.

When agrochemical and biocide products are developed, the active ingredients and their metabolites are required to meet specific regulatory standards with regards to their impacts when exposed to various environments. Residue studies are used to determine the presence and magnitude of pesticide residues in crops and animal feed. Ultimately, this data is collected to determine the likelihood of consumer exposure to pesticides and is therefore incredibly important to public health as well as food supply chains.

Our client is a leading CRO in the agrochemical sector and due to the continued expansion of the business, we are seeking a Technical Expert in Mass Spectrometry to work across the business, supporting E-Fate, Met ID & Residues studies. Working alongside other Mass Spectrometry experts you will identify unknown molecules, breakdown products from chromatographic data and elucidate complex structures, as well as taking a leading role in method development & optimization with LC-MS/MS systems.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have:

  • BSc/MSc/PhD in Chemistry/Environmental Sciences or closely related degree
  • Minimum of 5 years working within GxP compliant laboratories
  • Knowledge of method development, specifically using LC-MS for Met ID or Structural Elucidation either from pharmaceutical or e-fate or environmental studies

For your work you will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary and associated benefits.
