Role Summary
The Clinical Governance Manager at MCL Medics is a pivotal role, providing leadership and expertise in developing and implementing clinical governance principles across the organisation. This position is perfect for a health professional looking to influence and drive clinical standards and practices within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the implementation of clinical governance across MCL Medics
  • Conduct clinical audit across all Occupational Health policies and procedures in order to achieve agreed clinical governance objectives.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to Nurses and Managers on agreed service levels.
  • Lead research, develop, and review clinical policies and procedures ensuring comprehensive understanding and adherence.
  • Evaluate audits, recommend and advise on practice improvements.
  • Investigate and manage clinical issues to ensure risk management and safest practices.
  • Review any clinical adverse events and implement any changes that will shape and inform future service delivery.
  • Interpret national guidance and policy relating to clinical governance and implement any such guidance.
  • Develop and implement effective training and communication plans.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health (SEQOHS) accreditation.

  • Excellent time management, planning, and prioritising skills.
  • Analytical and influential with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems.
  • Experience in training, coaching, and staff development.
  • A registered (NMC) health professional with experience in a similar role.
  • Expertise in clinical governance, policy implementation and audit.
