Senior Care Assistant - Gainsborough, Lincolnshire - up to £31k per annum

• Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
• Position: Senior Care Assistant - NVQ level 3 required
• Care Categories: a beautiful care home offering residential and residential dementia care.
• Negotiable Salary: £13.56 p/h- up to £31,025 per annum
• Hours: Full time hours 33 and 44h options available
• Shifts - 1x Day full time day position and 1x FT night position - all shifts are 12 hours with 7/7 start and finish times
• Contract type: Permanent 

Requirements :

• NVQ level 2 as a minimum and willingness to work towards level 3 in Health and Social care
• Background in person centred care
• Dementia knowledge
• Leadership experience
• Existing nursing home experience
• Medication trained

You'll be working in a lovely care home which has been converted from a 19th century barn, preserved its characteristic features but has been modernized to enhance standards of living for elderly.
Our lovely home provides accommodation and care for up to 40 residents.
We offer care for elderly suffering from mild and moderate dementia as well as more complex care for those suffering with long-term head and brain injuries.

A typical day will involve:

• Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care. Providing the highest standards of care, you'll champion the dignity, and independence of all our residents
• Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.
• Supporting at meal times: serving meals and transferring residents to the dining room. This might involve supporting them to walk, transferring them in a wheelchair or using a hoist
• Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and clinical support they require
• To ensure the rota is covered for upcoming shifts and relief staff are allocated shifts as & when required
• Support new Team Leaders and care staff in the completion of induction programs, training and competency assessment.
• Admin duties: updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans
