Role Summary

Jackson Hogg are delighted to share details of this new Technical Director opportunity. Role based in the Cambridge area. The position would equally suit someone sitting on a board currently or operating at a high/strategic level in a large headcount/PLC organisation. 

Mandate is to own all technical aspects of the business including strategic approach, NPD, innovation. sustainability, compliance and project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy 
  • As a company board member, help create the company strategic objectives and deliver year on year profit growth.
  • Deliver R&D projects from concept to production that yield competitive market advantage.
  • Manage sustaining engineering activities, ensuring product integrity and compliance.
  • Accountable for delivery against budgets, timelines and objectives
  • Evaluate new technology and make recommendations on technological solutions. 
  • Manage IP for the business (with particular focus on patents)

Background / Skills / Qualifications

  • Demonstrable track record in full development lifecycle of hardware / electronics products in a highly regulated market
  • Ability to contribute outside of your area of functional expertise at board level.
  • Technical Engineering degree – ideally in software or electronics.

Package & Additional Information

  • Cambridge based with occasional regional travel required. Very small amounts of international travel.
