Location: Cullompton, onsite working

Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours Monday to Friday), permanent

Salary: £24000 to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefits

The Company:

Kebomed UK is a unique distributor of medical devices, with a primary focus in Minimal Invasive Gynaecology, Urology and General Surgery. We approach what we do with enjoyment, enthusiasm and the knowledge that a patient is involved in all we do.

The Role:

The Warehouse Operative will be part of a small collaborative team, responsible for directing and controlling the use of warehouse facilities on-site in Cullompton, Devon. You will ensure the maximum use of available space, making sure that goods are loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently. You will ensure full stock control and accurate records are kept.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Unloading deliveries of goods from vehicles
  • Loading vehicles with goods for despatch
  • Storing goods safely and efficiently in the appropriate area of the warehouse
  • Driving forklift truck to load and unload goods
  • Observing all health, safety and hygiene rules
  • Maintaining all necessary records of goods stored and despatched
  • Overseeing the despatch operation to ensure that it runs efficiently, effectively and safely, and meets business demands
  • Picking, assembling, and labelling goods for despatch
  • Using suitable methods to handle goods correctly and safely
  • Communicating effectively with the Managing Director, reporting problems quickly and raising any issues in a timely manner
  • Achieving targets and job standards as set out by the company
  • Managing processes independently when no supervisors on site

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in warehouse operations. You will be a quick learner, fast to master new systems and processes. You will be self-motivated with the ability to use your initiative and work independently as well as part of a team is required.

The successful candidate will take pride in ensuring high quality results. You will have good communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with all parts of the business. Good organisation and prioritisation skills are required, to manage a busy workload and meet customer requirements in an accurate and timely manner. A good level of literacy and numerical skills are required.

You will need to live within an easy commute to our Cullompton warehouse. Experience of forklift driving and a qualification in this area would be beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided.

The Rewards

The role attracts a salary of £24,000 to 28,000 per annum, with 23 days’ holidays plus 8 bank holidays moving up to 28 days with years of service. In addition, we offer 8% pension contributions, private healthcare and free parking onsite. We are a friendly, small team with offering a collaborative and pleasant working environment.
