Howard Finley are currently recruiting for a prestige client of ours that have a stunning nursing home based in Suffolk caring for elderly residents with a variety of nursing needs, including nursing care, dementia care, respite care, intermediate care and palliative care.

As Nurse Clinical Deputy Manager , you will support the Home Manager to ensure the highest achievable standards of care are delivered to residents, whilst working within the defined company policies and procedures and that all nursing and care practices are evidence based and reflect current trends.

About the role:

  • Ensuring clinical excellence in the home and leading a team of care staff to ensure the delivery of an excellent standard of care
  • Promoting independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care
  • Reducing Health & Safety risks and keep up to date with all current regulatory standards
  • Displaying exceptional people management skills by creating and leading a team of willing and dedicated staff identifying strengths and weaknesses within
  • Developing staff through supervision and mentorship
  • Providing and keeping up to date with relevant training
  • Work 'on the floor' as a nurse to lead by example and monitor staff in the Home on a daily basis, reporting findings to Head of Clinical Services and Home Manager

About you:

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • Qualification as a Registered General Nurse (RGN/RMN)
  • Strong clinical skills with a valid and current NMC registration and pin number
  • Knowledge of the care standards and other regulatory bodies (e.g. CQC)
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and management skills
  • Be able to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and key professionals
  • A passion for elderly care and clinical excellence
  • Previous experience providing nursing care in an elderly setting
