Hourly Rate: £21.00

RGN RMN or RN in Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or General nursing will be considered for this role.

Cedar Court Dementia Care Home is a privately-owned nursing home registered for a maximum of 45 service users and is based in a convenient location just off the A511 in South Derbyshire and just 5 miles from Burton on Trent. We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse - with a natural caring nature to join our team.

Our aim at Cedar Court is to provide the highest standard of care in a relaxed, friendly environment. We specialise in caring for people with dementia with a friendly and empathetic approach. We ensure that residents can still enjoy the freedom and lifestyle of their choice, whilst receiving care that is appropriate to their needs built on dignity and respect and you will play a key part in this:

Ensuring the well-being of service users, making sure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

• Leading, motivating, and mentoring our experienced team of carers and providing clinical guidance to ensure the safe, smooth, and efficient running of the care home.

• Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans.

• Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation

Registered Nurse - What you will be doing

  • Overseeing the care team and ensure their duties have been fulfilled throughout the shift.
  • Developing, reviewing, and updating care plans
  • Ensuring medicines are administered, stored, and received appropriately.
  • Being pro-active in monitoring the behaviour and well-being of service users and making appropriate referrals to external sources of support or care, as necessary.

  • A respectful, courteous, and compassionate nature and belief in giving your personal best at all times.

The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
