Cranleigh STEM is working with a leading manufacturer of nutrition products that advance the health of consumers livestock and farm animals.

This is an exciting chance for a recent graduate to acquire hands-on experience within a dynamic and expanding laboratory setting. Our client will provide comprehensive training and professional development for individuals entering the field.

We are looking for a graduate laboratory analyst to support the technical services team, responsibilities include sample preparation and analysis using techniques such as solid phase extraction, liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry.

You will also be involved in supporting product research and development activities where required.

To be considered you should hold a chemistry-related degree, (chemistry, forensic science, biochemistry) and possess previous laboratory experience in an academic or commercial setting.

Role: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 8:30-5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of reagents.
  • Sample and consumable inventory management.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy laboratory environment.
  • Sample preparation and analysis using HPLC, LCMS and SPE.
  • Data analysis and report preparation.
  • Follow documented work instructions accurately and consistently in accordance with the requirements of the laboratory's ISO 17025 accreditation.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in a chemistry-based subject, (chemistry, forensic science, biochemistry).
  • Possess previous experience, ideally within an analytical testing laboratory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience of using Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Organised individual with good teamwork and communication skills
  • Attention to and appreciation for detail.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 would be highly advantageous.
