Quality and Governance Administrator

As the Quality and Governance Administrator you will be working with the Head of Reporting and Quality & Governance Manager to support the delivery of a safe and effective service, ensuring there is good visibility of clinical incidents and complaints.

You will have an opportunity to develop an in depth understanding of good governance practices within a Teleradiology setting, including working within continuous improvement methodologies.

Pay Rates: Up to £16 per hour Umbrella

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

What you are responsible for:

  •  Providing general administrative support to the Head of Reporting and Quality & Governance manager.
  • Recording, responding, supporting and appropriately escalating incoming requests for information to support the timely investigation of clinical incidents.
  • Supporting letter and report writing within Quality & Governance.
  • Providing support and assistance to incident investigators outside of Reporting but within Group by facilitating retrieval of relevant archive documents or system data.
  • Providing note taking support for all Quality & Governance meetings; including requesting relevant documentation ahead of meetings, circulating an agenda and minute-taking. 
  • Support the Head of Reporting and Governance manager with incident investigations by interrogating patient record systems within Reporting to form accurate and informative incident timelines.
  • Accurately summarise common themes within similar incidents, complaints and risks for review by the Head of Reporting, producing reports in a timely manner.
  • In the context of meeting organisational KPI’s for the closure of incidents and complaints; keep track of open incidents/complaints, ensuring that the Governance Manager and Head of Reporting are aware if there is likely to be a breach.
  • Provide cover as necessary for other areas of administration within Quality & Governance such as compliance and QSI
  • Perform other relevant duties and tasks as assigned by management.

You have experience of:

  • Working to deadlines
  • Dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Creating and formatting Excel spread sheets, Word documents and Visio Workflow diagrams.
  • Clinical safeguarding practice.
  • Coordinating action log compliance
