Decontamination Engineer (CSSD)
Salary £35,000 - £44,000
Location - South East London

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site repair, preventative maintenance, and asset management of CSSD equipment and Pathology autoclaves within designated hospital locations.
• Collaborate with the site manager/team leader to achieve contract KPIs.
• Complete administrative tasks associated with repairs and maintenance, adhering to company procedures and quality standards.
• Provide customer support to minimize disruptions and build long-term relationships.
  
  

Task List:

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on CSSD equipment and Pathology autoclaves.
• Perform required tests to maintain equipment compliance with guidelines.
• Execute repairs on CSSD equipment and Pathology autoclaves as needed.
• Travel to various sites if necessary for maintenance.
• Ensure safe working practices and exceed contract KPIs for customer satisfaction.
• Support and train other Engineers as needed.
• Manage spare part stock and liaise with suppliers.
  
  

Skills:

• Familiarity with regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization techniques.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office suite.
  
  

Experience:

• Minimum experience in CSSD equipment maintenance.
• Prior experience in the UK healthcare sector required.
