Molecular Biologist

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain equipment necessary for trial work, ensuring samples are available and delivered on time.
• Resolve routine issues with minimal guidance, demonstrating your problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with senior staff and supervisors to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Requirements:

• Experience working with crop pest arthropods.
• Excellent organisational skills to keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
• Desirable experience with injector systems such as Nanoject.
• Desirable experience in running bioassays.
• Desirable experience with automated symptomology analysis and/or ADME assays.
• Knowledge in Analytical Science (e.g., Mass Spectrometry) and data analysis is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues across various disciplines.
• Ability to guide junior staff and students, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
• A degree or PhD in a relevant science discipline is required. A solid technical science background is critical.
