We are looking for a community psychiatric nurse to begin work as soon as possible taking on a case-load of working age adults (18-65) who are experiencing mental health problems such as: anxiety, depression, psychosis. Working with these adults you will be required to use your knowledge to identify safe and appropriate treatments for the service users.

To be successful in this role you must display excellent skills in communication and use your knowledge to provide high quality care to the service users who will rely on your help. Day to day tasks in this role would include: supporting services, providing risk assessments, creating care plans and making referrals. The role is to begin work as soon as possible and is full time and working hours per week are 30-37.5 Monday-Friday. The role is for a band 6 nurse and is based in Gateshead.

As a community psychiatric nurse working for this client your duties will include:

• Supporting patients to work towards living independently within the community
• Providing high quality care to help prevent patient hospital admissions
• Working alongside other services to help patients including, social workers, OT's and consultant psychiatrists
• Spending time with regular patients who require their medication to be administered within the clinic
• Carrying a caseload and helping with care plans for patients
• Managing psychoeducation with patients

- NMC registered

- Mental Health Nurse
