Senior Care Assistant (days) – 42 hours p/w - £14.61 ph (paid breaks) – Thirsk

A luxury care home in the picturesque town of Thirsk requires an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Care Assistant to lead a team of care assistants.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementing the kind of care that will give residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication
  • Supporting a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and you’ll be a real influence on the rest of the team

Requirements:

  • A brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people
  • Good at record keeping and able to manage your time effectively
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
  • NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care is essential for this role, and must be willing to complete Level 3
  • At least 6 months experience of being a Senior / Team Leader in a Residential Care Home Setting is essential
