Location: South East London areas

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Long-Term Supply (Monday to Friday)

ABA Teaching Assistant Job Description:

Qualiteach are always seeking experienced and dedicated ABA Teaching Assistant to join our partnered SEN schools on a long-term supply basis.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students with ASD, providing essential support and guidance within our specialist ABA provision.

ABA Teacing Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with ABA professionals and teaching staff to implement individualised programmes and interventions for students with ASD.
  • Provide one-to-one support and small group instruction, focusing on the development of communication, social, and behavioural skills.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of data to track student progress and inform ongoing interventions and strategies.
  • Create a supportive and structured learning environment that promotes engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and behaviour analysts, to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Build positive relationships with students, fostering a sense of trust, security, and belonging within the ABA provision.

ABA Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an ABA or SEN setting, preferably with experience supporting students with ASD.
  • ABA qualification or training is desirable but not essential; however, a willingness to learn and implement ABA principles is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with ASD.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
