Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Buyer to join their team on a temporary basis. If you have experience in purchasing and inventory management in a distribution environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing a number of portfolio of products and suppliers at a European level. Your duties will include optimising customer satisfaction and service levels, managing inventory plans and purchase orders, and improving supplier delivery performance.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Pay rate: £15.91ph

Fully on site - No hybrid working

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in process design and improvement to optimise time management
• Analyse data and recommend sound decisions, escalating when necessary
• Manage all aspects of inventory management and build relationships with suppliers
• Track purchase order shipments and take necessary actions in case of delays
• Contribute to improvements and cost savings initiatives
• Proactively manage supplier relationships and drive improved performance

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in purchasing/inventory management
• Excellent analytical skills and intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated organisational abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
