Sister/Charge Nurse - Oncology Ward (RGN)

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week across 5 days. This service runs Monday – Sunday so you must be flexible and will be expected to work occasional evenings, nights and weekends on rotation. In exchange for your commitment and flexibility, you will be rewarded with a generous salary of up to £54,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do as a Sister/Charge Nurse within the Oncology Ward:
- As the new Sister/Charge Nurse you'll play a key role in supporting the Oncology CNS and triaging patients.
- You will lead from the front, supporting your team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care.
- You will be responsible for delivering the oncology nursing education programme.
- You’ll be a role model for the teams values, ensuring all your patients physical and emotional needs are met while using your expert leadership skills to coach, mentor and engage with your team.
- Be a qualified RGN with current NMC registration.
- Post registration experience working within an oncology ward setting.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
- To achieve the maximum salary you must be an existing Oncology Sister/Charge Nurse with experience leading nursing teams and supporting junior colleagues with training and professional development.
