We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join our Recovery & Wellbeing Team in Southend. As a CPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health care and support to individuals within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' mental health needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide ongoing support, counseling, and interventions to promote recovery and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and support workers, to ensure holistic care.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and psychoeducation to empower individuals in managing their mental health.
  • Monitor and evaluate individuals' progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Advocate for individuals' rights and access to appropriate services and resources.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and risk assessment, providing timely support and intervention as needed.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.
  • Previous experience working in mental health settings, preferably within community services.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to promoting recovery-focused and person-centered care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing mental health care.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training.
