We're working with a welcoming and inclusive team to recruit a full-time Infection Prevention and Control Lead, and the role offers a salary of £50,000 p/and excellent benefits.

It’s an exciting time to be joining this hospital – with high levels of investment taking place, they have recently opened a 2nd operating theatre, expanded their imaging department and renovated several key patient areas. With opportunities to expand their surgical services, they currently offer a mix of specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, gynecology, urology, endoscopy, ENT, spinal, cosmetics and dental.

This is a full-time Infection Prevention and Control Lead role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday across 5 days.

As the Infection Control Lead, you can expect to:
  • Work with the team to promote best infection control practice and reduce infection rates across the hospital.
  • Support the Health and Safety, Environment and Housekeeping teams to ensure hospital standards are maintained and compliant with CQC and IPC regulations, including HCAI code (DH 2010).
  • Provide expertise to the clinical and senior management team, advising on the purchase and maintenance of equipment relating to IPC issues.
  • Investigate any infections, keep up to date with the latest IPC research and guidelines and share this knowledge with the wider team.
To apply for this Infection Prevention and Control Lead role, you must be an NMC Registered Nurse. You'll also need:
  • A thorough knowledge of Infection Control Policy within a hospital setting.
  • Completion of your IPC qualification is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from Link Nurses who are passionate about IPC and want to take on this role full time.
