Typical day as a Community Wellbeing Agent
- Checking in with local community groups to assess their current programs and identify any support they need.
- Meet with healthcare providers and local councils to advocate for community health improvements and share insights from recent initiatives.
- Conduct a workshop or training session aimed at empowering local residents with tools for better health and social connectivity.
- Collaborate with volunteers and other organisations to plan upcoming health promotion events or campaigns.
- Spend time developing action plans and strategies to address specific community health challenges identified during your outreach.
- Updating records and planning future activities, ensuring all your community interactions are impactful.

You bring
- Experience working with diverse communities and a proven ability to engage effectively to foster change and development.
- Strong organisational skills with a knack for managing multiple projects and deadlines effortlessly.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and inspiring others to take action.
- A creative and analytical mind, adept at problem-solving and co-designing community-based solutions.
- Familiarity with health promotion, community organising, or related fields, and a keen interest in public health strategies.
- A genuine passion for enhancing community wellbeing, with a respectful and inclusive approach to collaboration and advocacy.
- To get from A to B, you?ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we?ll pay your mileage!

You?ll be working alongside Matthew Grindle and the team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. They?re a fun, sociable bunch who enjoy helping one another and work really well with each other.
Job details
- Our service provides support Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm, but this can be flexible.
- This is no boring desk-based role! You?ll pop into the service at GL1 Leisure Centre from time-to-time but as you?ll be spending most of your time in the community, we?ll give you the latest IT kit, a surface pro tablet and smart phone to complete your work on the go!
- You?ll also be paid between customer visits and for your mileage too.
- Able to use technology for communicating with colleagues, updating records and completing mandatory learning
- You?ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
