In your role as Deputy Home Manager, you'll:

  • Assist in managing operations within the home to reach or exceed goals, ensuring high-quality care is always provided.
  • Oversee the care staff and step into full management in the absence of the Home Manager.
  • Train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work.
  • Assist the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents.
  • Keep each resident's care plan and daily records up to date.
  • Foster effective communication with the residents' families and other organisations.

The ideal Deputy Home Manager will have:

  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
  • The ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and the staffing team.
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programmes by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programmes within the home.
  • NMC registered nurse with relevant experience.
