Cure Talent is delighted to partner with a revolutionary Biotechnology organisation based just outside of Edinburgh who due to their exceptional continued growth, have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Scientist to join their highly motivated team!

The new Senior Scientist will have a deep understanding in plant tissue culture and plant transformation procedures. Working in their impressive Laboratory, the successful candidate will work hands on to drive the performance of a small, dedicated team in discovering, developing, and maintaining a range of transgenic plants.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Refine plant transformation techniques
  • Lead a dedicated team to achieve daily goals
  • Thoroughly document and analyse data, adeptly addressing any issues
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, effectively conveying research advancements

We are looking for an educated Senior Scientist with proven plant tissue culture and transformation experience. You will be able to execute projects efficiently, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and will welcome a hands-on approach.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Degree educated in a relevant field, with proven industry experience
  • Proven success in plant transformation discovery
  • Strong molecular biology, plant gene expression and transformation knowledge
  • Plant cell cryopreservation, protoplast culture and plant regeneration knowledge
