Registered Nurse - Day Surgery Unit Qualifications and Qualities:
• Establish annual personal objectives and craft a development plan.
• Collaborate with the Lead Nurse to address training and development needs.

• Comply with NMC Code of Professional Conduct and registration requirements if applicable.
• Enhance clinical knowledge and professional skills through relevant training.

• Desired: Demonstrable record of CPD (Continuous Professional Development).
• Desired: Knowledge of standards of professional practice in the broader healthcare context.
• Desired: Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT systems.

Registered Nurse - Day Surgery Unit Responsibilities:
• Deliver exceptional nursing care across diverse care settings.
• Ensure meticulous preparation and sterilization of clinic rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Maintain precise and timely patient records.
• Mentor and document the progress of students, learners, junior nurses, and Health Care Assistants.
• Engage in teaching activities within your specialized area.
• Prioritize and manage tasks under the guidance of the Lead Nurse or unit nursing lead.
• Maintain clear and effective communication channels.
• Serve as a specialist/link person following relevant training in your area of expertise.
• Develop patient pathways to ensure both physical and psychological preparedness for procedures.
• Provide detailed information to patients about planned procedures and obtain their consent.
• Deliver patient care grounded in established research and evidence-based clinical practices.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required.
• Apply a holistic, patient-centered care approach tailored to individual clinical needs.
• Adapt to flexible rosters to efficiently meet patient needs.
