A great opportunity has arisen for a proactive team manager to join an expanding manufacturing and distribution company who like to support and promote colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient use of labour resources.
  • Foster a positive working environment and promote teamwork.

Facility Maintenance:

  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement safety protocols.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency measures.
  • Utilise technology and automation to enhance warehouse operations.
  • Analyse data to optimise workflow and reduce costs.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers & Key internal/External stakeholders.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize errors and discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile variances.

Order Fulfilment:

  • Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment processes.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to optimise shipping and delivery processes.

Reporting:

  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations. Quality, Cost & Delivery.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to line manager based on data analysis.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

  • Previous Production, Warehouse & Logistics, Supply Chain Management experience essential.
  • Proven experience in management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
