Water Treatment / Legionella Technician

Location: Based in West Midlands
Salary: £25 – £28k, DOE + Overtime (c.£10k), Vehicle + Benefits
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours a week with regular possibility of overtime.
Coverage: Nationwide

Water Treatment / Legionella Technician - The Role:

This role is open to newly qualified or experienced technicians

As a Water Hygiene / Legionella Technician, you will travel nationwide carrying out clean and disinfection services for a wide range of systems and clients, including cold water storage tanks, hot water systems, pre-commission mains injections of hot & cold pipe work and mains water systems.

This includes chlorination and sampling in accordance with British Standards and other prevailing standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine checks and sampling of water systems.
• Identifying potential risks and hazards related to water hygiene.
• Carrying out disinfection and cleaning procedures as necessary.
• Collaborating with clients to develop tailored water hygiene management plans.
• Providing technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues.
• Carrying out external mains injections to water board specifications.

Water Treatment / Legionella Technician – Candidate Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Previous experience in water hygiene or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in disinfection works
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., HSE ACOP L8, HSG274) is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo training and development in water hygiene practices.
• Plumbing experience whilst not a requirement would be beneficial.
