Our client is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager/Product Specialist to drive external commercial sales operations within the UK. This pivotal role focuses on promoting and selling a diverse range of products.

 

Your varied day will include the following:

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities, maintaining a dynamic list of customer prospects for the commercial team's reference
  • Document and assess client information including key contacts, objectives, departmental scope, and relevant background information
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the development of identified opportunities, tracking engagement for ongoing review.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop tailored project plans incorporating our product portfolio
  • Lead negotiations, crafting compelling proposals outlining solutions, benefits, and economic impacts to secure customer agreements
  • Manage UK tender processes and proactively seek new opportunities within existing and prospective customer bases
  • Deliver quarterly and annual business reviews
  • Align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and organisational strategy, collaborating closely with leadership to capitalise on market trends and opportunities.
  • Attend team and company meetings
  • Cultivate sales leads acquired at industry conferences, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion
  • Collaborate with Commercial Development Partner to enhance customer engagement processes, devising quarterly development plans for ongoing improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong networking skills, capable of engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • Ability to lead customer meetings and events with confidence and professionalism
  • Methodical approach to sales and opportunity management, with a focus on prioritisation and results
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience in statistical reporting and financial analysis
  • Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft Office, Teams, and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and grammatical accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure and negotiate ‘win-win’ outcomes
Due to the nature of this role, you may be required to travel to various client sites, but you will receive a car allowance and your mileage will be covered.
