Overview

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced site, part of a very successful multi-site food manufacturer. Your role will be to overhaul a large planning department with the aim of making an already successful site more efficient and dynamic.  

The Role

  • Manage the short-range actions in the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Be responsible for delivery and accuracy of order process.
  • Track demand and supply at an SKU level to maximise service levels to customers.
  • Improve, streamline and automate the planning process, using the ERP system and developing it where necessary.
  • Oversee stock and waste levels, establishing better control of costs and positively impacting the business profitability.
  • Be responsible for the flow of supply chain communication with customers to ensure they are updated in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Build supplier relationships, attending key weekly meetings alongside the Procurement function.
  • Improve supply chain communication on inbound deliveries.
  • Manage L&D for the planning and stock control team.
  • Champion of continuous improvement.

The Candidate

  • Experience in Supply Chain.
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and successfully prioritise in a fast-moving industry.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate across various stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of influencing positive change and improvements.
