Key Points

  • Caring for patients requiring Palliative, Dementia, Nursing, Residential & Elderly Care.
  • Some duties are; creating care plans, medication, catheterisation, taking blood, overseeing care staff, leasing with GP's and relatives and promoting independence
  • Hours are Part-time or Full-time (up to 48 hours per week)
  • Shifts are 12 hours on a changing rota each week, 08:00 - 20:00 or 20:00 - 08:00, 4 weeks in advance and will involve some weekends
  • The salary is up to £21.80 per hour with paid breaks
  • Day shift or Night shift contracts are available

The Care Home is small-sized, modern, clean, purpose-built and family-run. It has successfully provided these types of care for the local community for many years; residential, end-of-life, respite, dementia and nursing care.
The care home encompasses the feeling of a home-from-home with a warm and welcoming environment and employees, combined with an expertly trained clinical and care team
The care home is split into nursing and residential care, they have a small number of residents as its a small care home. The care home has a Good CQC rating in all areas and excellent online reviews.

Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Minimum of 1-year post-qualifying nursing experience
  • Ideally, you have experience in; elderly, dementia, and palliative care within a Care Home environment
  • A caring and compassionate professional plus, a first-class communicator, enthusiastic & ambitious
  • Good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices
  • Experience in producing well-developed care plans & risk assessments
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks
  • Qualifications
  • A Nursing qualification can consider Adult, Learning Disability & Mental Health trained
  • An active NMC registration
