Job title: Lab Technician

Location/remote: Slough

Contract length: 6 months

Pay rate: £15-£20 per hour

Hours: Sun- Thurs, 7am-3pm (OT @ 1.75 on Sundays)

Responsibilities:

• Main responsibilities will be collecting sample and swabs that need to be sent to the lab

• Maintaining inventory of supplies and ordering new supplies as needed.

• Ensure that all the samples are collected from the taste panel room, prepped, logged and sent on time.

• Ensure that the Lab working environment is up to company standards.

• Ensure that lab procedures are up to date.

• Ensure that clean as you go is adhered in the lab.

• Masking sure all safety procedures are followed in the factory

Key Experience and Qualifications

• Hold a degree in a relevant field

• Previous experience working as lab technician in a food manufacturing environment or similar 

• Background in food hygiene and safety 

• Understanding of cross contamination and implications 

• Need to have worked in a manufacturing environment or similar, canteen would be too small for example

• Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
