Functional Assessor Role

Salary: £39,500

Location: Bristol

Hours: Monday - Friday - 9am-5pm - Full time and part time available

Hybrid working

• This role involves doing functional assessments for people who are claiming employment support allowance (ESA).
• You must be an RGN, RMN or OT hold an NMC/HCPC registration and have at least one year’s experience in your position.

• To ensure you transition and build a strong foundation you will be placed on a 12-week supported training course led by professional clinicians. You will be supported throughout the whole process and have a mentor to guide you.

Duties and responsibilities

• You will do face to face and telephone assessments of customers for the ESA benefit and provide a report to the DWP.
• Use IT programmes to help support clinical decision making with file work and examinations.
• You will work with an MDT building good relationships with both clinical colleagues and administrative staff.
• Gather all necessary clinical information and medical evidence related to the case.
• Ensuring that professional standards and best practices are maintained across all areas of work.
