Process Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 + an industry leading benefits package

My client are a global company who have a niche manufacturing plant just outside of Leeds and are looking for a Process Engineer to join their team. You will be joining a small team focused on Identifying losses in the process, finding sustainable solutions and then training and coaching all appropriate employees. This role would suit an engineer with a good mechanical background/understanding and automation diagnostics experience.

My client are happy to look at candidates from any manufacturing background who have experience with takt times, coaching operators, optimisation and sequencing, as well as the mechanical and automation experience. This is a Monday to Friday days role, working 40 hours a week and would suit an engineer who is happy being on the shop floor and leading by the front.

Process Engineer Job Duties:

• Be responsible for driving improvements in safety, productivity and quality, while reducing costs and assuring environmental compliance.
• Uses their people leadership and engineering skills to drive plant performance using their continuous improvement experience to support the manufacturing of quality products.
• Basic Mechanical troubleshooting and running diagnostics using PLC's.
• Using optimisation, sequencing and lean methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, minimise defects, and streamline production processes.
• Coach and train operators as well as other engineers and apprentices.
• Utilising TPM methodologies.
