Registered Veterinary Nurse

We have an amazing new opportunity to join one of our clients as a Registered Veterinary Nurse(RVN) playing a key role in their veterinary services department. The successful candidate will assist the NVS and ensure the smooth running of the department maintaining animal welfare standards, animal barrier status and SOPs.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for:

The role 

• Assist in vet rounds
• Provide first aid care to unwell animals
• Prepare animals for surgical procedures
• Carry out routine preventive health care procedures, including dental, ear and nail care
• Maintain day book in the Veterinary Suite and Procedure Room
• Provide support to animals before, during and after operations, and issue anaesthetic monitoring/surgery checklist
• Follow all policies, work instructions, operating procedures and quality documents related to the job position
• Be prepared to assist during out of normal working hours emergencies
• Organise health screening schedules, and the collection of diagnostic samples Regulated procedures

Requirements

• Registered or eligible for admission to the RCVS Register of Veterinary Nurses (RVN)
• Minimum 3 Years of relevant industry experience
• Ability to gain or current holder of a Home Office personal license
• IT Skills: Familiarity and expertise with Excel, Word, bespoke databases or other similar production software
• A driving license due to the rural location
