Job Description: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Activities Co-Ordinator to join the team in a Care Home. Situated in the picturesque town of Sleaford, our client's facility boasts high-class amenities and beautifully landscaped gardens, providing a welcoming environment for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement personalised activities to enhance the well-being of residents, fostering a sense of joy and engagement.
  • Provide support and companionship to residents facing cognitive challenges, employing person-centered techniques to promote comfort and alleviate distress.
  • Maintain an updated activity calendar, ensuring visibility within the home and on social media platforms.
  • Stay informed about developments in activities and care practices, actively participating in meetings and contributing to the monthly newsletter.
  • Engage team members, relatives, and friends in the home's activities, acting as an ambassador and organising fundraising events to enhance social opportunities for residents.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in planning and organising activities, with a creative and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Desired Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in providing activities in a care environment.
  • Relevant level 2 or 3 qualification.
