ARE YOU A LAB TECHNICIAN FROM A METAL TESTING OR HEAVY MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND?

Metallurgical Technician required for a well-established and well renowned manufacturer who supply to a range of industries and supply their products on a global scale. They offer a varied role within a great team environment.

To apply for the role, you must have previous experience as a laboratory Metallurgical Technician a manufacturing environment. Applicants applying from heavier industries will have a considerable advantage.

Reporting to the Senior Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for verifying mechanical and chemical properties of products according to customer specification. This will involve; hardness testing, tensile testing, grain size determination and spectrographic chemical analysis. You will then be responsible for generating certificates of conformity. As part of your role, you will carry out basic routine maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment as well as regular solution checks on apparatus. In a nutshell, you will inspect/analyse raw materials prior to treatment and test treated products to ensure they are fit for customer purpose.

Metallurgical Technician:
*Inspecting/Analysing Raw Materials
*Verifying Mechanical and Chemical Properties of products to customer specification
*Basic maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment

*3 Week Rotating Shift 06:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00 and 22:00 to 06:00

Metallurgical Technician:
*Will ideally have previous experience as a laboratory technician
*Must have metal testing experience
*Applicants from heavy industry background will have a considerable advantage
