The Opportunity:

You will be supporting the development and implementation for a range of procurement strategies that result in the delivery of value beyond savings for a broad group of stakeholders across our client’s pharmaceutical manufacturing operation across Australia Canada and Europe.

You will be liaising with Global Procurement Category Managers responsible for developing and managing procurement strategies for globally managed categories of spend across their global markets; bringing your knowledge of local requirements and business needs, you will support the development of these global category strategies and drive local adoption and adherence to these strategies.

Skills and Experience:

• c10+ years professional work experience in a corporate environment
• Demonstrated leadership and effective business partnering capabilities
• Experience supporting Procurement projects working directly with business partners to execute on defined scope, budget, and transformation results
• Proven track record of applying procurement principles, concepts, best practices, and standards along with an in-depth knowledge of industry practices
• Ability to support the development of category and sourcing strategies by identifying opportunity areas
• Experience managing and maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Strong leadership presence and negotiation/contract management experience
• Extensive knowledge and experience with procurement/spend systems data and analysis
• Knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes
