Are you a seasoned Senior Theatre Practitioner with a speciality in Orthopaedics? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a dedicated applicant to join a Theatre department of a leading provider of independent healthcare.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care.
  • Supporting, coordinating, and effectively assisting in the management and organisation of care within the operating department.
  • Providing quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care.
  • Leading in the delivery of patient care, during a list or specified period of time.
  • Ensuring patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with policy.
  • Contributing to quality improvement and promoting best evidence-based practice within your scope of practice.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Theatre Practitioner role should:

  • Be a registered practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Have a post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty i.e. Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification.
  • Have completed an ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
  • Have completed an approved/recognised anaesthetic course.
  • Possess orthopaedic skills and have previous a background working within an acute healthcare environment.
  • Have previous experience managing and leading a clinical team.
