About the service:

We are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic to work for a highly reputable walk-in centre in central London. The service is ideally situated in central London, near Soho, and within easy reach of local shops, amenities and public transport links. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic to work in a varied role caring for patients attending the walk-in centre with a variety of injuries and undifferentiated health problems. The role is fast paced, no two days are the same, and will be working as part of a friendly and supportive team. The team are passionate about the care that they provide, and they are looking for a like-minded Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic to join them on a permanent basis.

About the role:
You will be working as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic and will be responsible for:

  • Autonomously assess, manage and treat patients
  • Provide treatment to patients with a range of illnesses and injuries
  • Prescribe medication as an independent non- medical prescriber or using PGDs
  • Assess and treat patients aged 2 and above
  • Communicate highly complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and other staff
  • To lead, motivate and support team members in the facilitation of professional and clinical development

Who we're looking for;
All applicants for the role of Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic must have the following;

  • Registered Nurse and valid NMC pin or Paramedic with HCPC registration- with no restrictions
  • Full eligibility to live/ work in the UK
  • Evidence of continuing professional education and training at Masters level or completed level 7 module in advanced practice
  • At least 2 years UK experience in a similar setting ( emergency care, autonomously within a GP surgery)
  • Independent Prescriber (or on a pathway to complete)
  • Experience of caring for patients aged 2 and above
  • Paediatric Nurse Practitioner qualification desirable
  • Competent in physical examination of patients of all ages.
  • Ability to prioritise workload

Person Specification: All applicants for the role of Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic must have a valid NMC nursing pin or HCPC registration and must have full eligibility to live and work in the UK. At least 2 years experience in a similar setting and evidence of continuing professional education and training at Masters level is essential for this position.
