Apricus Resourcing are working closely with a leading organisation who are searching for a Non -Qualified IDVA for an ongoing locum role based in Slough.

Within your role you will be working with vulnerable adults & children, working in partnership with, MASH, Police, Slough VAWG+ Group & Domestic Abuse Networks to ensure that all clients under your care get access to the best services and treatments to improve their situations and bring them back to safety. You will be working to provide practical and emotional support to victims of domestic abuse and other gender based violence. This includes supporting and signposting Trust staff who are victims of abuse.

Key Duties include:

• Intensive case work
• DASH Risk assessments,
• Provide practical and emotional support to women and men applying the principles of effective casework when supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence
• Oversee the development and delivery of individual support and risk management plans
• To work with the Senior IDVA Service and Team Manager in achieving the Safe lives Leading Lights or Women’s Aid accreditation standards within the service.

In order to be considered for the role the manager would like to secure a candidate who has the following:

• Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
• Experience of working within a multi-agency setting
• Awareness of risks associated with domestic violence in a working environment
• Knowledge of legal, statutory, regulatory and good practice requirements applicable to the provision of supported housing
• Knowledge of the support needs and support planning of women and children experiencing domestic violence

In return the service can offer an ongoing agency role working Monday – Friday 9-5 however there may be some unsociable hours attached to the role from time to time. The rate of pay for the position is £16.72 per hour ltd
